The Barry Truth

It seems as Americans we inherently believe in a sense of fairness don’t we? We want the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth – we want truth, justice, and the American Way. We demand transparency and that everyone is equal, under the law at least. Yes, we want the Very Truth, the Essence of Truth, and we want it to be perpetual, not just when it’s convenient but we want it to be, in the words of the late great Vince Lombarde; “an every time thing!”

No Paine, No Gain: The Genesis of Revolution

It is odd to me that America’s own citizens have such an incredible contempt and disdain for our country. This latent self-loathing, it would appear, stems from an ahistorical view of history divorced from sound reasoning and reality. It is not my view that we neither expunge all wrongs committed by our ancestors nor try to mitigate their effects, rather properly view them in each of their historical circumstances.
